I had had an international 3-week house/pet sit for 3 great dogs in Salinas Ecuador (Sep The dogs, house, pool, and outside plants all looked great upon the owner's return. I even took the taxi/bus strike in stride and thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
My first assignment was one month home and pet sitting in Tampa, Florida (May While the owners were out of the country I looked after their precious 17-year-old cat as well as their condo. Things went smoothly even when their air conditioning unit needed service ( on a Sunday morning during a holiday weekend with 90-degree heat ) - and then in their adjacent rental condo the following week.
I have been to Buenos Aires, the Caribbean, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand, Spain, Portugal, and a few dozen US states. But I want more.
My wife likes to stay home in Wisconsin, with the dogs (and hang around for our 3 grand children, and 3 great-grandsons). But I seek activity, sunshine and new places!
We have had dogs for 35 years - from Shih Tzus, Lhasa Apsos, a Pekingese, Dobermans to Labradors. Currently, we have a large Bull Dog mix and a small Yorkshire Terrier. But our daughter also had a cat for a few years (along with our 2 dogs).
For 20 years I was in an accounting job - but for the next 20 years, I was a work-at-home internet marketer. My first was a travel site visiorinfo (still alive and running on autopilot).
I also regularly visit my daughter in Idaho. This year I was in Idaho for 6 months to help care for our new granddaughter while the parents were working. As I have done so a few times in the past, I also took care of their home, dog, and cat while they vacationed.
I prefer warm areas but enjoy new places and consider everything - especially international.
I love spur of the moment and can leave tomorrow if the place is right.
International travel is highly desirable if the stay is at least two weeks.
I can travel for a week or a month at a time - or easily longer.
