Going away for almost 5 weeks and leaving your furry friends behind is always a difficult situation. Thanks to Jean we we able to enjoy our time away without worrying about our cats wellbeing. She kept us updated with pictures regularly. We can always tell how our cats were treated in our absence and I can assure you that Jean has great cat energy and I am sure that she would do a stellar job with dogs and other critters as well! Both cats were calm, relaxed and happy when we returned. She even managed to put a little weight on our younger feline that is very petite and is always on the underweight side. That requires a lot of TLC and several teaspoon feedings of wet food throughout the day. A job well done! She watered the veggies in the garden and the house plants, brought in our mail and the house was very well maintained as well. She even organized my messy pot and pans cupboard. Unfortunately our old dryer broke in our absence and Jean was kind enough to just string up a clothesline in our catio and made do. We would not hesitate to have Jean cat and house sit for us again in the future. She is dependable, kind and trustworthy and I would describe her as a delightful person!

We were so concerned about leaving the Country and our puppies for 2 1/2 weeks. We were not very concerned about Gracie, an 8 month poodle mix who is a bundle of pure love and joy.
George, on the other hand, a 9 month chihuahua mix, is a fearful, nervous, and reactive pup. He was our biggest concern. Jean arrived, right on time, relaxed and at ease, to a barking, growling and shaking George. She seemed unconcerned and confident. We had to get going to catch our plane and just prayed all will be fine.
Over the next week, we realized our concerns were all in vain. We received lots of photos of George and Jean snuggling!!! George sleeping on her lap!!! George playing catch!!!
We were thrilled that Jean has the dog touch! George was in love, comfortable and trusting!
In addition, our home was perfect. Plants watered, house clean, all good.
Like I said, I cannot express my gratitude to Jean for allowing us the freedom to go on vacation. For allowing us the peace of mind knowing our fur babies will be taken care of in her hands.
Thank you Jean. The only negative I can say is that because of her professionalism and tender touch, she is and will continue to be in demand. Well deserved!

This was our first experience with a HouseCarers housesitter. Jean was excellent, taking care of our home, garden, and two big dogs for a month. She communicated proactively from the get-go and sent us cheerful updates during her stay. She is flexible, conscientious, thoughtful, friendly, easy going, thorough. Not only did she take good care of our garden and indoor plants and lavish love and activity on our dogs, she befriended our neighbors, left our home clean and tidy, and even stocked our fridge with groceries for breakfast. We had a great experience with Jean!

Jean is a real Gem! Jean housesat for me in Sacto for almost a month while I was away in Europe. She kept in contact with me with pictures and updates and was an active, loving companion to my 2 large dogs and elderly cat. I returned to my home that may have been neater than when I left it and I felt confident and good to leave my precious fur family in her care, not easy when gone for a long time and far distance. She also watered my indoor and many outdoor plants :) I would not hesitate to have Jean back again for my next vacay!

Jean is a lovely and reliable person who took great care of my finicky old house, and my even more finicky old cat, Sparky, during a ten day trip out of the country.
I came home to a happy cat and a house that was cleaner than when I had left it.
I never had any worries while I was away, and plan on having her house- and cat-sit again in the future, so I happily recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dependable house-carer!

My husband and I have had many house, pet and B&B sitters over the years and we can honestly say that Jean is in our top TWO.
We were able to enjoy our vacation with no worry whatsoever about our B&B. I did not have any bookings when Jean applied, however she rose to the occasion when 2 different parties booked during her stay (and got rave reviews from the guests).
It was wonderful to return to a clean, orderly home and Jean had even restocked the fridge, so we didn’t have to run out and shop immediately (didn’t expect the Haagan Daz - thanks, Jean!)
