About US
We are a professional English couple in our 50's. We are non-smokers, home owners in both Australia and Spain and we are currently working in Abu Dhabi. We got into pet sitting in 2013 when we took 2 years out of work to enjoy life. Since then, we have done 11 international pet sits. We have spent time in all parts of the world and in all conditions and climates, with a wide range of animal personalities. We are house proud and every house sit we have done has remarked on how beautiful their homes look on their return. Gary is a good handyman and we have excellent experience with caring for all types of homes. We adore animals, have owned dogs, cats and horses and are fit and active.
Why we want to house sit
Quite simply we love it. We have now done 11 international house/ pet sits. We love incorporating our love of animals with travel and enjoying a beautiful home as a base for this. It works!
Our Experience
Since 2013 we have been lucky enough to have done 11 international house / pets sits.
The details are :-
We have looked after a dog (a Spitz ) and large flat in Abu Dhabi for 7 weeks, spent 8 weeks in Costa Rica looking after 4 large dogs (Collies and Rhodesian Ridgebacks) as well as one cat and a luxury vacation rental villa and pool in the jungle. In Bristol, UK we looked after a large house and energetic Spaniel. We were caretakers for an 8 bedroom Bed and Breakfast in Norfolk, UK for 6 weeks. We sat for 2 elderly dogs in Dubai for 3 weeks( one with Alzheimers disease). We were then invited back to our very first pet sit in Abu Dhabi for another 8 weeks to care once again for the little Spitz dog and the owners new 2 bedroom apartment. Gary has also done a solo housesit in London for 2 weeks looking after an elderly and sickly cat and an apartment. We travelled to Australia in 2017 and did 2 pet sits, one in Melbourne looking after 2 cats and the other for 3 weeks on the Gold Coast looking after a bungalow and 2 elderly cats. In December 2018 house sat for a wonderful dog and modern home and garden in Banyo Brisbane for 3 weeks. In 2019 the petsit in Banyo, Brisbane asked us to return for 3 weeks and we did.

We adore animals and have owned cats, horses and dogs. We would like you to know we have done lots of pet and house sitting, but as home owners have twice used sitters ourselves. Therefore we totally understand the situation from both sides. We fully understand it is undoubtedly worrying to leave your treasured home or adored pets with strangers but hope we sound like the people you are looking for. We are non smokers, home owners and are very house proud and super clean. Our hosts always comment on how wonderful theur homes look upon their return. We can assure you that you will find your home beautifully cared for and totally spotless. We always remain in very regular contact with you about your pet/s, and home, through videos and pictures or however you choose so that you can feel at ease. Simply tell us the level of contact that makes you at ease.
