Both of us are retired, in good health, & enjoy multi-week to several month house sits - especially by the water & in scenic areas near parks!
We enjoy house sits in Canada (ie., Vancouver Id. and southern BC); the western U.S. (Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada Arizona & New Mexico); and areas in the eastern U.S. (Florida, Georgia).
Our recent house sits are mostly with cats, wild bird-feeding stations, & indoor/outdoor plant care: in Eugene, Oregon (2 cats - one needing insulin shots); Sunriver & Bend, Oregon (cats); Tucson, Arizona (2 cats); Corvallis, Oregon (elderly dog); & Metchosin, B.C. CANADA (2 months, goldfish & plant care). In spring 2019, I did a 34-day house sit (2 cats) in Pickerington, Ohio - with my sister (see reference below).
We've also done house sits in Sequim (WA) & Nambe (NM); & in Canada: Victoria (BC); Fruitvale (BC); Harrison Hot Springs (BC). We have good references and are trustworthy, caring sitters.
We currently live in Klamath Falls, Oregon (over 20 years). We used to live full time in Victoria, B.C., Canada when my husband attended school at U.Vic., & I was employed there seasonally for many years after that. So we are both very familiar with Vancouver Id., & still have friends there.
Being outdoors people, we are in good shape, & enjoy birding, hiking, photography, & volunteering in the community (see profile photos). We are able to do lawn care & light gardening, and we take pride in leaving the houses cleaner than when we arrived.

We really like being in natural areas. We are also both writers and like the excitement of discovery in new places.

We are so appreciative to Kathy and her sister Cindy. They cared for our two cats, lots of wildlife, and our house over a four week stay (May-June 2019). We were brand new to this possibility and the Housecarers system. I was very nervous because of all the security concerns we’re all dealing with in today’s world.
Kathy and Cindy bent over backwards to help me overcome my nervousness, spending time with me on the phone, providing references, all of which were very helpful. I cannot rave enough about how fabulous these two women have been to my husband, me, and our “girls” (two very spoiled indoor cats). They even made toys for our kitty cats – continuing the spoiling.
The house was so clean upon our return, I wondered if they polished the furniture. Even our wildlife was cared for exactly as we would, had we been home.
