I am an active, non-smoking retired teacher. I like to travel, explore new places and meet new people. I do personally own properties and so understand the value and responsibilities of caring for a home. I am responsible, respectful and would treat your home as my own. Also, I respect and value animals as an enriching part of life, and would take excellent care of your pets. I have been a pet owner in the past; with the passing of my dear feline companion of 17 years about a year ago, I am even more pleased now to be with the animal companions of others. I have had many house/pet sit experinces over the past few years, all of which have been enjoyable, interesting and engaging. Being with the animal companions of others is a lovely experience for me.
As a point of interest, I have trained as a Master Gardener and enjoy gardening and learning about plants. I would take good care of your house plants and tend your garden as well. Also, I trained as a docent and as a volunteer at our local museum; activities I find both worthwhile and fascinating. I am/have been involved in other volunteer work at various times as well. Other leisure activities that I enjoy include hiking, travel, reading, cooking and gardening.I believe people would describe me as easy-going, good-humored, competent and reliable.
