We believe in taking care of your property as if it was our own. We are non smokers and enjoy a glass of wine and good company. We have lived on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland for over 50 years. We have owned the houses we lived in since we were married in 1979. We have had dogs for most of our lives. Since we were married we have had two Labradors which lived to over fourteens years old on average. We decided not have any pets after our black labrador passed away so we can travel and also take care of other peoples animals.
I worked in the QLD electricity industry(ENERGEX) for thirty seven years from Mandy went back to work 25 years ago and has worked for the same establishment since as the office manager. Job sharing with the owners wife which gives us terrific flexiblity so she's semi retired we reckon.
We have cared for a menagerie of animals from Australian Champion Kelpies to sheep, goats, horses, chooks, old dogs and pups. We have travelled to W.A. a few times to take care of several different varieties from a German Shepard cross and Boxers to an old bitzer. Some of our house sits have involved having rental properties attached. One house sit was for eight weeks on Fraser Island in 2006 and we really enjoyed it so we have decided to try other areas in Australia.
The situation on Fraser was looking after the main house and two holiday rental houses which we had to clean and prepare weekly for the next lot of holiday makers. Being on an island we had solar power with generator back up and tank water so we are capable of taking care of rural properties with no worries. We have looked after a house on 5 acres in Grose Vale NSW for five weeks a couple of times. We coped quite well with the dogs exercise regime and two and a half acres of gardens and lawns to care for. This was followed by us looking after a property in Mundaring W.A. for seven weeks. We've also looked after a 90 acre property at Brogo NSW with horses. alpacas, goats, chooks and people as it had a 4 bedroom self contained guest house attached.
We've been back to W.A. a couple of times for 8 weeks at a time to look after the dogs and chooks at a boutique winery in the Margret River region. This was extremely rewarding as the natural wine making process made it one of the best experiences ever. We have been to the same property near Tamworth NSW several times taking care of1800 sheep and lambs and 12 working dogs along with a small Hereford stud as well as a Black Angus stud.
We like to specialize in rural properties as we enjoy the life style and a bit of space. We are open to all offers though.
Other than March, April and May 2023 we are free to help if we can.
