We're off to Mexico City for a little sight-seeing and need someone to sit with our Mattie -- a 20-lb, 6-yr old, grey poodle mix. We live in a condominium on the beach and she likes to walk the neighborhood or beach in the morning. Coffee shops are a favorite destination as she really enjoys sitting around watching people. She also enjoys being outside afternoons and/or evenings, and she likes sleeping too.
Our condo is a 850 sqft one-bedroom, one-bath, with a well-equipped kitchen, smart TV and wifi. We’re on the fourth floor and the ocean view from the little deck is relaxing and fun for whale watching.
Our condo complex has three pools of varying temperatures, a hot tub and a tennis court. (Dogs are not allowed at the pools, fyi.) And we have a great snack bar on property, so lunch and dinner can be very easy. The neighborhood has some really nice restaurants within walking distance, and two close public beach accesses for walking flexibility.
Mattie does well by herself in the condo in the daytime, but gets anxious if left alone at night. She travels well in taxis and loves to walk to close restaurants, so she needs go out to dinner with you.
Mattie is almost always dog friendly and always people friendly. However, she has no sense of cars or bikes so needs to be kept close. She uses a harness whenever she is off the condo gated property, and a collar when on it.
