On 8th May to 18th Oct 2024
We understand that 5 months duration is a very long time for one person/couple to undertake alone. We are happy to have several couples to apply whether for 1 month, 2 months etc. as long as the 5 months timespan is covered and the needs of our dogs are met. We have also organised for an animal care nurse to cover the elected house sittter's need for a couple of days break from time to time.
We are looking for a mature housesitting-couple, or single person, this Winter and Springtime, for 5 months, who can take care of our two friendly West Highland White Terrier dogs, walk them every evening, and take them to grooming appointments in Albury - 120kms to the south. (6 weeks apart). A car-crate or seat belt clip in leads for the dogs will be provided. Recently our older dog Angus was diagnosed with diabetes and now requires insulin via a Vetpen every 12 hours. He is a very good patient, and happily lines up for it each time (with food!).
We will create an expense account with sufficient credit for any Dog needs such food, Insulin vials, Vet, grooming, and fuel costs for travelling to Albury ( We will also supply our sedan for driving the dogs to Albury for their grooming appointment ).
We wish for our home to be kept tidy, and for our pot-plants and garden to be well maintained.
Our double-brick Victorian-styled home has gas-heating, WiFi, and is set in the middle of a English-styled rose & camellia garden. We are located at the end of a little cul-de-sac, and our neighbourhood is very quiet.

You can walk along the levee bank of the river, and there are free electric BBQ areas. A large playground is adjacent. The Wagga Wagga Annual Show will be held on 13th & 14th September. There are many lovely restaurants to dine at, such as the Magpies Nest, The Oakroom, Thaigga, The Boat Shed Restaurant, The Brew Coffee Shop, Larry's Coffee Shop (just naming a few of our favourite coffee and lunch spots!), and The Charles A la Carte Restaurant. The Sydney to Melbourne Countrylink XPT Train / Coach services runs twice daily. There are also buses that service the town's suburbs.
