We are looking for a trustworthy, genuine, friendly person to keep our home for us while we are away. More importantly, we are looking for a kind and gentle companion for our Siberian husky, Denali.
My family and I are taking a week-long trip to Chicago by train. We would like someone who could arrive on Saturday to meet the family and go over details, drive us to the train station on Sunday morning and pick us up from the train station the following Saturday night.
While we are gone we would need you to feed and walk our husky, Denali, and just generally keep him company. We rescued him 8 years ago when his first "family" moved and left him tied up in the backyard. Needless to say, he gets nervous when we pack and leave. We are looking for someone who would have the time and desire to stay at home for part of each day and let him hang out with you, in addition to taking him for walks and feeding him.
We would also have a few flower pots on the porch that would need watering and mail that needs to be brought in - all pretty minimal, really.
Our home is located in a very safe and friendly neighborhood in a first ring suburb of Kansas City. The guest bedroom has a full size bed, the kitchen is fully equipped (there will probably be some fresh produce in the fridge that will need to be eaten!) and our wifi is available for you to use.
Whether you are looking for museums or parks or bbq or sporting events or friendly people - KC is your place. There is a lot to see and do and we are happy to offer recommendations if you would like! We are centrally located, so almost everything you would want to do is less than a 20 minute drive away.
The weather at this time of year pretty much sits in the 70s and the humidity hasn't arrived yet. In other words - beautiful!
We haven’t used HouseCarers before, but we do a fair amount of hosting through couchsurfing . We enjoy connecting with people, finding mutually beneficial situations and expanding our world. This seems like another good way to do all those things J
We look forward to hearing from you about why you think this partnership could be lovely for all involved!
