Looking for immediate house/dog sitter, mid-Jan thru mid-April, 2015 (or any part thereof). N. Portland is a hip university area, 15 min away from downtown by bus (bus stop is one block away). Also, MAX (mass transit/rail) is 3 blocks away, and has loads of options for clubs, bars, restaurants, sporting events (go Trailblazer Basketball!), concerts, live music, etc. Portland has lots of breweries, bakeries, bookstores ... you'll love being here. Also, about 1.5 hours either West (Pacific Ocean) or East (Mt. Hood and skiing) is a whole new experience and something that should be discovered. My home is in a quiet neighborhood, secure, surrounded by many retired persons who have literally grown up in the same neighborhood, or new, younger families who enjoy the local restaurants and coffee shops. Animal care will be for a little white Westie (West Highland Terrier), about 15 pounds of pure love. She is 8yrs old, but plays like she is still a puppy. She is a happy girl, loves long (at least twice daily) walks of about an hour each, weather dependent. (Should it snow, I don't take her on long walks, but that rarely happens at my elevation.) She especially loves cuddle time on the sofa with you, watching TV. There is a fenced, private backyard where she can be let out while still daylight; I don't let her out at night due to possible raccoons roaming the yard.
