Hello. We are Jeff and Nicole from Colorado. We are a healthy, non-smoking, pickleball-crazed couple. We have both recently retired from much-loved professions. Jeff was an Electrical Engineer and business owner. I (Nicole) am a Registered Nurse and childbirth educator.
We have always throughout our 43-year marriage owned and maintained our own homes. During that time, we have always had pets. In total we’ve had 3 dogs and 3 cats, all with dramatically different personalities and issues. Our last pet was our sweet rescue dog, Ivy, who passed away at age 16 in April 2023. We are trying to figure out new ways to love on animals while staying available to participate in adventures and new communities yet to be discovered. This Housesitting opportunity seems like it could work well for us!
We totally understand that leaving your pet in a stranger’s hands (let alone opening your home to a stranger), might feel worrisome. We have to believe that as you get to know us, your concerns will disappear. We are used to taking great care of much-loved animals and cherished spaces alike. Animals are usually drawn to us. Jeff is very handy and does needed maintenance on our home. I’m a woman in constant motion, always cleaning, cooking, or caring for something or someone. We’d like to think we can offer you peace of mind, so that you can travel, knowing your pets and home are in great hands.
Being as we are new to housesitting, we want you to know that we can easily provide references. We have only excellent references from past hosts with and other vacation rentals. We will probably housesit in areas where friends live. So, most likely, we can even provide references from members of your own community. Or when we meet by phone or online, I think you’ll get a good feel for who we are and whether you will be glad to have us watch after your home and pets.
