My wife and I are a semi-retired college educated couple looking for new adventures. We are both from Minnesota and have bachelor degrees from the University of MN. We have always owned a house until Covid landed and my wife's 20-year health care company that she founded was literally grounded overnight when corporations shut the doors and went to remote operations. As our 4 children were out of the house by this point and our last pet had passed, we made the bold decision to sell our house, by a RV, and see the world. We sold our house in April, 2021, and have traveled full-time since.
While we have loved the last 2 years, we feel it is now time to start putting down more permanent roots. We are both very active and love any outdoor activities including hiking and mountain biking. We miss pets as we always had a dog and several saltwater aquariums to care for. We don't have much holding us back, as our children live throughout the U.S., and we haven't been blessed with grandchildren yet. We do have a grand-dog, a 10 lb toy poodle named Estelle! She has to take meds everyday for seizures and we have experience with that.
My wife has been concentrating on starting a new business and that has been going well. I myself enjoyed a career in the corporate finance side as a controller/CFO. We are both very trustworthy and loyal and as a plus both finished the entire outside landscaping and the finishing of the lower level of our last house! So we are both very handy with any type of project!!
