Hello. I'm a 49 yr old female artist and landscape architect who works from my rural home that I share with my husband and our teenage twin sons. As an artist, I find that housesitting is an excellent way to get some much-needed time and space to myself now and again, and to experience new places; plus a great way to make new animal friends!
I've owned and renovated three homes with my husband (a general contractor) over the years, in both urban and rural settings, so I'm very familar with the ins and outs of a home and its many systems, including the basics but also things like greenhouses, pools, barns, chicken coops, propane tanks, water features, saunas, hottubs, etc. I've housesat countless times since my early twenties, and over the years I've taken care of dogs, birds, horses, chickens, cats, fish, rabbits and more! I've been a landscape architect/garden designer for 26 years, so I'm also well-versed in plant care. I pride myself on my attention to detail and I think most would describe me as thoughtful, quiet, creative, active, and dependable. My main interests currently include making art, gardening, hiking, staying active with my family (sailing, kayaking, camping) and cooking for friends.
In addition to housesitting solo, I'm also potentially interested in longer term housesitting opportunities as a way to travel with my family, or as a getaway with just my husband. We are a handy and responsible bunch!
I look forward to connecting with you.
