We are a working couple in our 50s who love animals, especially dogs, cats, horses, goats, sheep and so many more. We also love to travel. I was a geographer and now am a Middle School History teacher. I also had a professional organizing businesses at one time. I've taught at my local school for 19 years. Being an actively-employed teacher means I have been background checked and fingerprinted and it means I have no criminal history. My husband is a master certified Ford automotive technician. We've been married for 32 years. I've traveled extensively...mostly as a backpacker but I have many more places to see. We are extremely responsible and moral people. We are looking for a way to travel a bit more inexpensively. I happened upon this . It intrigued us. We figured we'd try pairing our love of animals with house-sitting. My husband is not a professional handy-man but he is a mechanic so he is very good around the house which I assume would be a plus in the event any house systems went awry. We are non-smokers and only occasionally have a glass of wine or a beer. We take pride in caring for our own home in Florida and we would be sure to care for yours if it were under our supervision. As a teacher I get a week off in November, about three weeks off in December, a week off in late March and June through the end of July off (summer vacation in Florida schools).
