While I love to travel, I am a terrible tourist. I prefer to live in a community, absorb the history and the culture, make friends, and create memories. I have few needs or possessions, and am able to run my book publishing company and edit a national magazine from anywhere on the planet with Internet access. I am mature, responsible, multilingual and have several years of successful house-sitting experience; I know how to care for your property as carefully as I would my own and would welcome the opportunity to do so.

Marti was a wonderful sitter and we would not hesitate to have her back. She is reliable, responsible and dependable. She had suggested a zoom call prior to our leaving and she also arrived a bit earlier at our house which allowed us to chat and show her around.  By the time we left, we knew we were in good hands.  Marti is obviously an animal lover and our cat was well looked after.  She sent us a photo from time to time which was really appreciated and allowed us to relax and not worry about what was happening at home.  Marti obviously loves what she is doing and her enthusiasm is infectious. Our house was in perfect condition on our return.  As first-time users of the Housecarer site, we couln't have wished for a more outstanding experience.  We highly recommend Marti and will definitely contact her again in the future.

Marti was terrific. I knew from the first video call that she would be a perfect sitter. She is a very bright woman who will bend over backwards to accomodate, exemplified in her plans to travel from Buffalo to Philadelphia. Since she had car problems, she needed to travel by train for 12 hours! She tried to come the day before and stay in a hotel so that we could meet, but it did not work out. So we did a video call and I was able to show her what was necessary and that turned out to be adequate. She did everything perfectly and amiably.

My kitty was well loved and my apt was left in perfect condition. She changed my sheets, left my flowers and a lovely book! I recommend her whole heartedly!
