Hi, we are Carey and Sara. Thank you for considering us to care for your home and potentially your beloved pets too! As of February 2023, we are preparing to wrap up a 7.5 month house, property, and animal sitting assignment in the Midwest and putting our sights on what's next.
Both of us have remote-work - Carey as a graphic designer and Sara as a coach and consultant - which allows us more mobility and flexibility in our whereabouts. We have no kids or pets of our own. We have found caretaking to be a wonderful option for seeing more of the world, while getting the satisfaction we both feel from helping others while they are away. It is fulfilling for both of us to be of service this way: we are "leave it better than you found it" people and take caretaking responsibilities seriously!
We are reliable, considerate, and thoughtful about this work and in how we engage with the world around us in general. We are well-traveled with glowing Air BNB reviews from hosts around the country. We don't drink or smoke, and are generally quiet people. We consider ourselves down-to-earth, easy to communicate with, and personable.
We also both come with experience caring for and living in old homes, so you can rest-assured you will have resourceful caretakers if your home has any pecularities or quirks (as most homes do)! Sara owned a 100-year-old home in Minneapolis for 9-years. Carey lived in rural and urban properties in the PNW for two decades. We both have yard & garden experience (Sara even winning a gardening award in Minneapolis and spending a few years on organic farms). We will happily keep your indoor and outdoor plants flourishing!
Finally, we welcome housesitting gigs that come with furry companions. Sara has fostered an elderly dog and lived with an energetic young pup, Carey had a cat companion in the past, and we each have numerous experience petsitting for friends & family. In our current caretaking gig we are taking care of two geriatric cats (20 and 21 years old respectively) and chickens.
We are fully vaxx'ed and boosted. We would prefer to housesit for nonsmoking homes.
