We are an active married professional couple who are taking a break to travel the world for a year (or more). We are skilled, tidy, quiet, friendly, and have a flexible schedule.
Together, we have started and operated businesses, developed, managed, and maintained long and short term rentals, and planned (and are enjoying!) worldwide travel.
We love walking in nature (recently Mt. Everest base camp! ;-), sampling amazing food and wine (beach shack to Michelin 3 star), music, and visual arts. Steve has some Spanish language skills (un poco), and Julie is eager to learn, but can't decide between Spanish, Italian, or French.
Having remodeled three homes of our own--with style and on a budget--we have extensive experience with home maintenance, including carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, interior and exterior painting, yard maintenance, gardening, repairs, decor and design, and coordinating with contractors for specialty needs. (There's no charge for our housesitting services, but if you're interested, talk to us about small home improvements you'd like done while you're away.)
We like to live in a clean and fresh environment ourselves, so housecleaning and laundering are part of our daily routine.
Our neighbors love us, our friends are long term. We are sociable and enjoy the company of others, but would rather attend celebrations or events at a venue, preferring to keep our home a relaxing and quiet destination. Live music and movies are favorites.
