I am a single, very responsible, trustworthy, security conscientious and reliable individual with a sunny, good-natured personality that recently retired from the medical field, loves to travel and see more of this beautiful world and would love to take compassionate care of your home and pets. I love animals and have owned and taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and some more. Gardening and pool maintenance are in my repertoire as well. I am patient and gentle with every pet and welcome their company. My background covers many aspects of health care which enables me to administer medications if necessary and alerts me to indications of illnesses. It also taught me to deal with even the most difficult situations often in a split second. I am comfortable with making logical decisions and following your wishes in case of any emergencies. In your absence I can communicate and update you via phone or if so desired.
Being a homeowner and longtime professional makes me aware that you would like your home to be treated with the outmost care and respect. I will regard your property, pets and plants as I would my very own and promise to have your home look immaculate upon your return.Owning pets also made me realize that boarding them was not a good option, I tried it twice with unhappy outcomes, it was not the right thing to do for the pet who is ultimately much happier in his/her familiar surroundings. Plus your home is much more secure with a house sitter present in your absence.
I was born and raised in Germany, moved to the US many years ago and have lived here in several states already; but I find that this beautiful country has so much more to offer that I have not seen yet. Currently I live in Florida. Now I am retired, single, still very active and want to travel here in the US and in Europe as much as possible. The reason I find the opportunity of house and pet sitting so appealing is the fact that it gives me the freedom to learn more in depth about a region, the people, places and communities than just visiting it for a couple of days on vacation.
I am an outgoing person that also values the serenity of a home and the happiness pets can give. I have never smoked and my interests include photography, reading, nature walks, exercise, cooking, swimming ,learning new languages and customs.
