Hello I am Mish, an Australian woman, and have been living in Bali for 25 years. I have a beautiful colonial style home with a huge garden in Bali 10 minutes drive to the beach located in the back of the popular Seminyak area. I have two dogs who I need to be taken care of in my absence. One dog is Toto a male poodle almost 10 years old, the other dog is Lilly a golden retriever who is 8 They are very friendly and love people and very easy to be around. I have staff in my house during the day but when I go away the dogs get so lonely and need some company which is why I am looking for a house/ pet sitter. The house has two air conditioned bedrooms with en suites though one would be available for the sitters
I would require the person / people sitting the house to spend some time with the dogs every day and be there each night. The dogs need to be walked on Sundays, checked for any issues ie ticks and general keeping an eye on them . They need to be fed on the weekend and if the staff are away and they need medication daily especially Toto who has osteoperosis and is on pain killer. The staff give the medicine when they are there but when they are not I would need the sitter to do that Even though Bali is a holiday island I would want the people to be committed to taking care of the animals and the house. It is not far to go to the beach or to town so there of course would be time for that but I wouldn't want people who wanted to go off traveling around the island as that would defeat the purpose of having sitters. I ask that people have spent time in Indonesia or Asia due to cultural sensitivities and also ease of getting around.
There is WiFi available in the bed room and terrace. A separate fully equipped kitchen with dining area,on site filtered drinking water, a separate lounge with satelite TV and DVD, a guest bathroom and laundry. The bedroom and lounge room have large verandas and seating areas to relax. There is a huge garden full of trees, birds and squirrels. The person staying would need to be confident in moving around in Asia as you would need to do food shopping etc and it would require your own transport.Motor bikes are about $4 per day to hire and cars are also quite cheap.
