I worked in politics twenty five years,most recently as Director of a Congressional office, and the last fifteen years also have run my own jewelry design & grant writing businesses. I've been to all fifty (US) states and try to visit a new country every year. I quit my government job to spend more time traveling and I teach art and entrepreneurship along the way to less advantaged/youth. I own a few rental properties and understand the importance of protecting real estate investments.
I house sit to experience places being off the tourist path and while keeping my travel costs low it will also be satisfying to help people out by watching their homes and pets.
I have done month-long housesits in the U.S. and Australia, and have managed some of my rental properties myself and oversee the property management company dealings for the others and all when I am abroad. I am happy to have a background check such as I do regularly for my new tenants.
