Adventurous in spirit, outgoing and friendly, I'm a woman whose children have left the nest, and I relish the possibility of expanding my world travels. I've spent a good deal of time exploring Europe, the UK, Mexico, the Eastern bloc and the U.S., so I'm comfortable with going it on my own. Being semi-retired gives me the freedom of being flexible, mobile and available to help those seeking someone to care for their home. As a former homeowner of both a residential and vacation ski property, I thoroughly understand, and respect, the effort it takes to maintain and protect ones property. House-sitting has a great appeal because it allows me to offer my life's experience/skills in exchange for the chance to explore the world.
What can I bring to the assignment?
~ An inordinate amount of common sense and creative problem solving. Organized and alert to anticipating needs. ~ twenty-five years of home ownership experience. ~ An exemplary work ethic, honesty, reliability, and a conscientiousness which is becoming hard to find these days. ~ Love of animals. Adopted two cats from the Humane Society, who were a beloved part of my family for twenty-two years. Have done plenty of dog-sitting for my neighbors, friends and family, and love their dogs as though they were my own. ~ Strong basic "handy-woman" skills for minor repairs and basic installation. ( I hung all the drywall in an eight hundred sq. ft. new addition, single-handed!) ~ Excellent seamstress. ~ Meticulous, "type A personality" when it comes to cleaning and maintenance. ~ Non-smoker. No pets with me. ~ Gardening, yard work, flowers, and basic pool maintenance
Thanks in advance for your consideration. I hope to hear from you soon. Let's create a win-win situation!
