We are looking for house sitting/animal care help from ish to .
We had a couple lined up but they just had to cancel.
We have a beautiful 4 bdrm 5 bath home one block off the open ocean on Playa de Coco in Jalisco between Barra de Navidad & Cihuatlan.
We would expect a housesitter to care for our 2 cats, Tiki and Ruby, and our dog, Blackie. That would mean feeding Blackie morning and night along with supervised walks in the area as often as possible. Blackie likes lots of walks but doesn't get too many with us unfortunately. We will also need your help with pool chemicals and our lawns and potted plants.
You will have the use of a small car for shopping. We have a maid service once a week who would also cook for you if you arrange it with her in advance. Of course you would pay for that yourselves. We have a gardener here once a week as well, and the Colima police stay in our neighbors palapa cabana; so safety isn't a concern for you.
This is a beautiful area with lots to do. There is a 5 star hotel (The Grand Bay Hotel) and golf course right next to us with lots of activities. There's also the town of Colimilla on the lagoon side of the Grand Bay property. There you can eat at 3 or 4 lovely little restaurants or take a boat across the water to Barra de Navidad.
Our house is for sale so there's the possibility of people dropping by for information and a tour.
We would expect the house and animals to be kept safe and closed in/locked up if you leave for longer than 3 hrs.
There is WiFi, and Magic Jack, however any extra charges incurred you'd be expected to pay yourself.
Barra de Navidad is a great little fishing village with lots to do and Melaque, Via Obregon, and San Patricio are just a few kilometers from Barra.
Surf fishing is popular on our beach however the open ocean is very dangerous for swimming. There are other areas close by for surfing and swimming.
There are tennis courts (rented for a small fee)in the Grand Bay Hotel properties as well as in Cihuatlan.
One important point is that our dog is sort of dual tempered. She can be ferocious one moment and adorable and docile the next. We have 2 previous house sitters who would be able to tell you of their experience with her.
