About Us:
We are a franco-american couple. We did our first house sit in 2012, and have done over a dozen sits since.
Why House Sitting?:
We love house sitting because it is a win-win situation: The home owner can leave worry-free, knowing that a responsible couple is looking after their home. We gain the experience of being in a new place, complete with pets to cuddle.
Relevant Skills/Experience:
We are clean, organized, reliable, and conscientious. We are both non smokers. We love pets, and have lots of experience in looking after them. We are not just open to house sits that require caring for pets; we are genuinely excited about them!
We speak, between us: English; French; Spanish; Portuguese; a little Italian; and, with a patient waiter, one of us could order breakfast in Arabic.
SOME OF OUR PAST HOUSE SITS:
- April 22 – July 16th, 2019: Harrow on the Hill, England: (1, cat, 1 dog, 2 fish)
- October 2018 – May 02, 2019: Longpont-sur-Orge, France & 1 cat We sat for one sweet 13-year-old cat.
- Jan Mar. 18, 2018: The Cotswolds & two puppies
We took care of two lovely and quirky dogs, about a year old. One of them had had surgery on her hip only a week or two before our arrrival, and we walked her several times a day to rehabilitate her leg. The other pup was able to go for normal walks. - Dec Jan.10, 2018: Kent, England with 2 dogs
We took care of two zany dogs in Maidstone while their owner traveled for the holidays. - Sept Dec. 19, 2017: (no pets) House sitting in Ireland's Ancient East
There were no pets on this house sit, but we took care of a home in county Cavan. - 3 occasions between Clamart, France & 2 cats
We took care of one young cat (he was a kitten a few months old during the first sit) and an older cat who popped in occasionally to visit. - July Paris, France
We sat an 'only child' (that is to say, a single cat). Special requirements included weighing out her food and feeding her at certain times, as she was on a diet. - November Marbella, Spain (7 cats)
We looked after the owner's apartment and pets (some were indoor cats, others stayed outdoors). We fed the cats at 10 AM and 6-7 PM, kept their bowls clean and tidy, gave them the treats of turkey or white fish (as per our instructions). And of course, we gave them all the pats they wanted.

Gabrielle and Luc sat our home in Virginia, Co. Cavan, Ireland during the period 27nd September 2017 to 18th December We can only offer the highest recommendation for this lovely couple who took care of the house, the neighbours dog and the local friendly robins with great care and attention. They provided us with regular updates which was a great comfort while we were overseas. When we returned the house and gardens were in pristine condition with the fridge and cupboards well stocked with food. They were even so thoughtful as to put fresh flowers in a vase for us to arrive home to.
This was our first time to avail of the housesitter option and because of our experience with Gabrielle and Luc we would not hesitate for a moment to do it again.
