I am a responsible late thirties Canadian guy with a few housesits under my belt. For most of my twenties and early thirties I worked as a personal support worker and outreach worker both independently and with various social service organizations across Canada, while simultaneously completing my bachelor's degree in humanities and religion, yoga teacher training certification, and a master's degree in english literature. I'm currently working as a freelance writer for video games and animated web cartoons.
In previous employment positions with social service organizations, I have dealt with housing issues faced by those in our society who are less privileged. So I have a great respect for others' home and property, because I've seen what it means not to have access to those things.
I've also had numerous pets throughout my life, from dogs, to cats, to fish, mice, and hamsters, and have even some small experience with horses and goats on small farms and ranches. I am quite comfortable with and would love to care for most pets (and I love dogs)!
