Looking for a responsible,mature couple to live in and care for our beautiful home. Sitters would be required to do light garden/yard work,care for our small dog, light maintenance of pool and generally maintain the house in the pristine condition in which they will find it. Our house is located on the spectacular Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The house is situated 1KM off of the coastal highway at an elevation of 600 ft providing for panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean/Terraba River and pleasant afternoon and evening breezes. The sunsets are spectacular. Our property consists of 13 acres and is situated in a gated development of 110 acres. Our house is the first house to be built in the development. The property is visited daily by toucans, cusingas, large (and noisy) green parrots, scarlet macaws,and many varieties of butterflys. The property is frequented by three types of monkeys (white faced, howlers and titis). The house consists of two structures: The primary house has one bedroom with a king size bed, bathroom with exterior shower, small study, livingroom/kitchen/dining area, saferoom/pantry,laundryroom, half bath, and a very large veranda. The second structure consists of carport and attached guestroom with queen size bed and bathroom/exterior shower and small veranda. The house has a medium size pool. We do have a gardener and housekeeper( at our expense) that come once a week Housesitters are required to pay their own utiliity usage. We will pay for internet service, satelite TV and cell . KW/hr rate here is 2X the rate in the U.S. You will need to rent a car for long term or use the local taxi and only rent a car short term as needed. . Knowing some spanish would be helpful. The ability to deal with "small" problems is a must. Remember it rains alot here, but mostly in the afternoon and evening, so most mornings and early afternoons are pleasant. The internet service here is fine for web browsing, etc. BUT is too slow and unreliable for anybody that works online. We wish it was better as we have lost very good sitters that could not get their work done!!!
