We own a beautiful smallholding in the mountains 1000 mtrs above Fethiye where we rescue donkeys and anything that needs a loving home. We are in an idyllic,rural farming valley where cherries and walnuts are the main crops. We are remote but you will have the use of our Nissan Tristar.
This house sit is for people who are willing to work for part of each day but does allow plenty of time to relax and visit the local area if you are well organised. This is perfect walking and painting country and we are surrounded by many historical sites. It is a very tranquil setting with mountains to the front view and forest at the back of the property.
We are self sufficient in veg during the summer and have a tiny market/store and bakery 3 kilometers down the road.The main town of Fethiye is 1 hours drive down the mountain on the coast.
We require a responsible,physically fit couple to feed and care for our precious dogs and donkeys and to maintain the small but well stocked garden. They must be confident with animals. The sheep,dogs,donkeys and chickens,geese and ducks are all very easy going and amenable and constant amusement. We do have local help that would help with the livestock if necessary if you are out but he is not on the property at night. The garden has an irrigation system and is easily maintained if kept on top of.
We would wish to return to the house and garden and find it as we left it. The house is more than fully equipped.We would want a day to hand over so stay would be 16 days but could be longer if this suited flights etc.
This is not a sit suitable for a single woman. We live in a very traditional Muslim farming community and do not want our male employee put into an awkward position as he is at the farm everyday.
We are unable to pay for flights but will pick up and drop off at Dalaman airport.
