I have spent much of my adult life traveling to dozens of countries and U.S. states. Since I am recently retired, I can be flexible with time and location so have no trouble meeting housesitting obligations wherever I go.

I enjoy pets - walks with the dog, cat-petting marathons, talking to the chickens and more. I look forward to the outdoor time and exercise. Having a cat-friend in my lap or pup at my feet is pure pleasure! Previously I have owned cats, dogs, fish, gerbils, birds, reptiles and even a rat named Whiskers.

I am very open and friendly, have owned several homes, have three grown children and five grandchildren. I'm pretty handy, keep a clean house and don't mind getting my fingers dirty in the garden. I love to walk and bike and to explore new places.

I prefer to housesit for several weeks minimum depending on location and schedule so I can spend at least some time wandering and getting to know your community and region.

I had the joy and good fortune of having Lori come stay in my home while I took a very stressful 4 week trip to shut down the life of a family member. Right away upon meeting her, I knew I was in capable hands. She exudes competence and loved my animals! My animals have a complex meal prep and Lori waded in, undeterred, with my notes and did well. She pampered both my Chocolate Labrador and her cat. They both were calm and happy when I returned. And...my home was clean - an added plus, in my book. 

Lori is delightful. You will not worry for one minute while you're away. She can cope with whatever comes her way. She communicates as needed and truly enjoys her time in your space with your animals. My neighbors loved her! She's on the top of my list for my next journey!

Lori did a great job with my dog Xerxes. We booked with each other months in advance so I was so at peace that Lori communicated with me regularly to make sure we were still on track right up to the actual date of departure. The most unnerving part of the process for me is trusting that someone will show up, so this was big for me to feel less stress as I prepared for a huge trip.

Lori kept in communication enough to set my mind at ease. Xerxes had recently been sick and Lori knew the fine line to walk between letting me relax on vacation and provide assurance that Xerxes was doing fine. 

Probably the best part was feeling like I was leaving my house in capable hands as well. Lori made me feel like I could walk out of the house without explaining every detail of the house, assuring me that she was quite capable of figuring things out. 

Highly recommend.
