I have not applied for housesits over the past two years or so due to Covid restrictions.
Given the more open borders, I would considerate it a privilege to care for your house and animals (and plants) in your absence.
I am very aware of the duties of home ownership as I have my own home near Wellington, New Zealand. Our family has had dogs and cats as well as two children, now young adults, who are living overseas. My daughter lives in Glebe, Sydney with her husband and two young daughters. Housesitting provides me with an opportunity to spend quality time visiting her and my son, rather than flying in-out for long weekends. And it's special to participate in a different way of life by being welcomed into another person's home through housecaring.
References as to my integrity and reliability are available from three of the Sydney families whose homes I have cared for over the past ten years. I have also uploaded a reference below from a Sydney homeowner as part of my profile.
Professional endorsement is available from employers and colleagues including from a university in Melbourne (ACU) where I worked for a few years. So that's about it.

Judy has looked after our home and cat twice now.
She has proved to be an excellent home and cat sitter.
Judy is a reliable, caring, honest, thoughtful and generous house sitter. We were able to go away and not worry about the house and garden and of course, the cat.
Making arrangements with Judy was easy and efficient, the house and gardens were cared for and on arrival home, it was almost as though Judy had not been there, it was as we had left it (clean and tidy, linens washed and cat well fed and healthy).
