I am an honest and reliable retiree (it's not often that being an 'oldie' is actually an advantage!!!) and, sometimes with my husband David, seek to house sit in France, the UK or Italy. I would also be happy to consider sits in Canada and New Zealand. I have been a member of Housecarers since 2005, and have done numerous sits, both in the UK, Europe and in Australia. My husband joined me when he was able to get leave that coincided. David was previously a Captain in the Australian Merchant Navy, and once he retired we enjoyed two stays in the Northern Hemisphere (18 months the first time, a shorter 3 months the next), housesitting in the UK, France and Italy. We became quite addicted to it - a wonderful way to achieve our dream of getting to know different places. We have looked after both cats and dogs and have excellent references from all our sits. We are both non-smokers, own a home in Australia, and have had our own pets over the years. I also spent almost eight years working as an Administrator for the local council in their animal shelter. We will keep your home clean and tidy and are quite happy to do a spot of gardening, pool cleaning, etc. Please feel free to contact me and I will then supply further details.
