We are located in a rural setting about 10 miles northeast of Vancouver, Washington. We are looking for a mature couple or individual to stay in our house for 8 weeks starting about the 21st of October, Starting and end dates could be moved plus or minus a few days if necessary to meet your schedule.
We have 5 indoor cats and 2 outdoor medium sized dogs. Cats are friendly and would require feeding and litter box scooping. We use a scoopable litter that is easy to work with and will not require changing the entire litter in the boxes during your stay.
Dogs are in a fenced area and will need feeding and some exercising which can be done on our 5 acre property.
The house in an older 3 story chalet type on 5 wooded acres. It is on a paved county road. We are about 8 miles from larger grocery stores, restaurants and variety stores. Very peaceful and quiet. Secluded but not isolated as we have a small Fire Station on the adjoining property.
Some yard watering might required, depending on the weather conditions. Usually not necessary in the fall.
The house has a heat pump, satellite TV, computer with high speed internet access and a DVD player.
Housesitter would have to have their own transportation.
