We are a family of 3 and we love to travel when we know that our dear cat Garfield (16 years old) and our house are taken care of. Garfield comes from an animal shelter and has lived with us for 10 years. He is quite old and doesn't need much, but he is used to not being alone and likes it when someone is in the garden with him or when he can just be there in everyday life. Garfield does not scratch, does not bite, is very cuddly and likes to be cuddled. Due to a stomach problem he only gets dry food. He eats this throughout the day when he wants it. The only important thing is that he always has fresh water and something in his bowl 😉. Due to his age, he is a leisurely eater who eats a little from time to time. He should be brushed a little every 1-2 days as he hardly grooms himself anymore. Persian cats tend to be overbred. Unfortunately, he is too. That's why he has tears in his fur around his eyes. This needs to be removed with a tissue from time to time (you can see it). Sometimes he can still manage on his own. But he is an old but very lovable man 😉. He uses the litter tray, which needs to be cleaned daily.
He can do and use everything in the house and of course our house and cat sitter too.
Our house has 3 floors, a cellar and a small garden with a sofa, barbecue and everything you need. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything can be used.
We live very central. With the bike (which we provide) you are in 10 minutes at the cathedral square, the castle, the Aasee and the famous promenade, which is used around the city center as a bicycle road. We have a canal that can also be used for swimming and a harbor
with countless bars and restaurants. You can reach everything by bike in Münster. That's why we are also the city with the most bicycles in Germany. Münster is a lively but peaceful city with many students, very green, with a lot of culture, good restaurants, many leisure activities and above all great cycling routes around the Münsterland. The city center has many shopping opportunities, theaters, music and pubs. The airport is 30 minutes away and the train station can be reached from our house by bus in 20 minutes. There are numerous sports fields, green areas, tennis courts and beach volleyball courts in the immediate vicinity. (On foot in 5 minutes). The nearest supermarket can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. A bakery, small market, bookshop, ice cream parlor and restaurants, too.
Our house is 5 years old, modern and equipped with wooden floors. Therefore, please do not use shoes inside. We are very environmentally conscious and separate the garbage. There are facilities for this in the front garden. Sustainability is also very important to us. We save energy (only energy-saving appliances and lamps are installed in the house), have a small photovoltaic system on the roof terrace and get hot water through solar energy). It is important to us that our house and pet sitter share these values and use water and energy just as responsibly.
Our house sitter should feel comfortable. A separate 140x 200 cm bed is available on the 3rd floor with TV etc. Everything in the house can be used responsibly.
We are neat, clean and respectful to our neighbors. We expect the same from our guests 😀
