We are looking for someone responsible and clean to look after our dog Phoebe while we go on a trip for days. She is an easy dog and needs only one walk a day, feeding 2x day, and not leaving for periods over 6-8 hours. She is very sweet and smart, adores cuddles and is calm for her breed. She rides very well in the car and is very good in stores. The only consideration is that she does not like to meet other dogs, but this is easy to do with so many options for walks and hikes in the area. We want her to be cared for and not be alone for long periods of time, and she would be happier in the house, hence why we are looking for a sitter!
Our house is bright and clean and very cozy in the winter when you can sit in from of the pellet stove or log fire. There are few responsibilites other than looking after Phoebe. If it snows we would like you to shovel the sidewalk if possible so that we are not fined by the city. The area is a typical suburban area but close to downtown. We have a garden and you will probably be treated to snow in December. Colorado can be cold, but it is almost always sunny and does not rain very often, so it's always possible to hike and have fun outside. Shops are within walking distance and there are many places within biking or driving distance. Downtown is a 5 minute drive. There are also parks and hiking areas within walking and driving distance and are also close to Rocky Mountain National Park and ski areas. The towns of Lyons, Boulder, Estes Park and Greeley are all within 30 minutes to 1 hours drive. We have some workout equipment (free weights, yoga mat and blocks) that you are welcome to use, bikes, and passes to local parks. We have Netflix, a good internet connection, and a comfy bed.
