Looking for responsible, good humored sitters to stay in the "coolest corner of NC". We live on a mountain in the corner of NC, TN, and VA. You will be staying with (and sleeping with) 2 dogs- 7 yo beagle and a yo lab mix. Our home has 2 bedrooms and full baths and a bed in the loft. At the base of the neighborhood is the New River on which people float in tubes or kayak all summer, as well as fly fish.
The dogs are low maintenance and only need to be let out in the morning, dinner followed by a walk, and bedtime pottying (at the minimum). There is a fenced in yard. They really just want to be near people. Walking is a pleasure here as it is like you are hiking- beautiful Mountain View's in the neighborhood and a lake you can fish in . Basically, you will be living the laid back mountain life in a small town. The closest thing to the house is a winery and grocery store 15 min away. Deer will visit daily and the neighborhood itself is quiet. We live between West Jefferson and Boone, NC where Appalachian State University is. Skiing and snow tubing, hiking, river activities, and art are the primary entertainment. OR- just sit on the deck or screened in porch and enjoy the mountain air.....We would love to have you experience our mountain and the love of our rescue fur babies. I am a Physical Therapist and my husband is the President of a furniture company. The dogs are unemployed.....
