Hi ... thanks for your interest in my place. I am going to Alaska and Vancouver July 31 - August 15 on a family trip. I would have to have the folks come July 30 so that there is a smooth transition.
I don’t own too much “stuff” but my place is comfortable for 2 people for sure. I’ve lived here for 20+ years after 20+ years in Santa Monica. I’m a journalist / free-lance nonprofit organization grant-writer (arts, culture, environment, social services, independent media) and my mid-century modern minimally furnished condo is full of books, folk craft/displays from my many trips to Asia (Korea, Japan, China, Mongolia, Cambodia), Europe, and the USA. I am a school tour docent at LACMA, on the community advisory board of KCETLink TV, and beginning volunteer at the Los Angeles Maritime Institute. I am a licensed instructor of Japanese tea ceremony, so my 2nd “bedroom” is a tearoom. (see below)
CONDO: QUIET, SECURE WELL-LIT / LANDSCAPED complex (cameras, gates, etc.) POOL / JACCUZI. Close to MUSEUMS (2 LACMA passes included, free Marciano Museum). WALK to LARCHMONT VILLAGE / SUNDAY FARMERS MARKET. Major bus / METRO LINES. NO SMOKER / DRINKER / SCENTS. VEGETARIAN preferred. Lots of STREET PARKING. WIFI.
PRIVATE ENTRANCE. 2 bedrooms: Master with new Casper double bed mattress, and en suite upgraded bath (deep tub/shower). 2nd is JAPANESE TEA ROOM (4.5 tatami, shoji, tokonoma, futons, meditation cushions – no shoes allowed.) 2nd bathroom has sink/toilet. Small new kitchen (gas) with filtered flowing water. Living room + office with double deck/patio adjacent. Dining area seats 4+ Washer / dryer in unit. Trash chute nearby. Wood floors (not in bed/tea rooms). 2 interior steps.
PICCOLO, my cat years / HEALTHY) needs to be fed 2x a day (if she eats too much, she might throw up.) Not a rigid schedule, however. The litter box needs to be cleaned 1 x/day. My cat is not a cuddler, may not want to play. So less physical contact is fine. Diet: wet / dry cat food, goat milk yoghurt, cat treats. She can go outside on the wood deck if someone is within eye-shot. Must come in when you leave. Friends in neighborhood may be able to help occasionally.
DECK: Potted plants (veggies, strawberries, fig and Meyer lemon tree, flowers) need occasional watering. Table, chairs. Lots of afternoon sun and light for evening dining.
