We need our dog and 2 cats cared for whilst we are away for nearly 2 weeks at the end of June. Kobe, our miniature schnauzer, adores human company and enjoys a regular walk and riding in the car. He is a well mannered boy except with other dogs. He tolerates his feline house mates. The two indoor cats pretty much look after themselves, they just need daily feeding and litterbox clean up. We would require the large, modern home to be kept tidy and gardens watered.
Wallaroo is a small seaside town about two hours drive from Adelaide. Along with its neighbouring towns, Kadina and Moonta, it makes up the Copper Triangle, or also known as "Australias little Cornwall". The area is a popular fishing destination. Either fish off the regions number of Jetties or BYO boat. Good boat ramps can be found at both Wallaroo and Pt Hughes. The region is steeped in history, including museums and the historical copper mining sites. Cafes and small boutique style shopping can be found in all three towns. A large Drakes supermarket in Wallaroo and Woolworths in Kadina service the community. Choose from a variety of hotels and restaurants in the area, including the Coopers Ale House on the Wallaroo Marina. A 1 hour drive North of Wallaroo will put you at the base of South Australias beautiful Flinders Ranges.
Our home is located in the Marina development (not waterside) and is a short 200 meter stroll to a fabulous beach. It is approximately 3km from the town centre so having your own vehicle would be handy but we have push bikes available for use.
