Comfortable strawbale house on a small property near empty beaches and Dunedin, a southern university city. We have two older Staffies (still keen on beach walks though) and two friendly and mischievous donkeys. Our eight hens provide plenty of eggs most of the year.
Dunedin is one of only 20 UNESCO Cities of Literature, and has a range of good cafes and restaurants as well as good walking nearby. The peninsula has penguins and an albatross colony, and there are good fishing opportunities in the harbour and nearby rivers. A range of cinemas, university activities and an Eco sanctuary are all nearby. Previous house sitters have managed to see the Southern Aurora.
We need a sitter or couple from 4 April - 15 June 2018. This isn't a difficult sit, but is best suited to sitters with some house sitting experience, especially of equines. We have a private wing for house sitters, but can't accommodate children.
