We are looking for a house sitter to care for our dog and cat as well as feed visiting wildlife.
Our dog needs to be walked twice a day, fed twice a day with treats before she goes to sleep, be let out at night if she woofs, have ointment into eye every night, have pheromones sprayed on her collar when she gets distressed (especially during thunderstorms and heavy rain). Ruby is an inside dog who sleeps in the bedroom with us. If you do not want her on the bed with you she will sleep on one of her several beds in the bedroom. She is fairly neurotic and high maintenance but adores people particularly children.
Our cat is 22 years old who spends nearly all her time inside. She does like to sit out in the sun as long as a human sits with her. her kittylitter needs to be cleaned at least x2 a day. She is a very fussy eater and drinker and needs to be fed during the night.
We live on 3 acres and have visiting birds and ducks who we feed with bread, wheat and seed. Our property has 2 small dams but we still provide clean water in bird baths and containers for the birds.
Our house is a very comfortable 2 storey, 4 bdroom house with central heating. We have a landline, sound system and large television. There is a swimming pool which will need daily maintenance. There is a rented unit on the property and the tenants will be able to assist if needed.
A local bus runs past the house which takes a few minutes to get into Ballarat city. There are frequent trains to Melbourne which take just over an hour. Ballarat has lots of restaurants, movie theatres, historical sites and museums.
