Our house is on Hospital Hill in Napier, with magnificent sweeping views taking in the sea and city below, south to Cape Kidnappers. It is really stunning and will ensure you enjoy peace and quiet in our lovely modernised older home.
We require a mature person or couple similar to ourselves i.e., 65+ and retired, to enjoy our lifestyle and feed our 4 year old black cat, Ruby. She is very easy to care for and we will ensure all her needles etc are up to date.
Our home was built in 1946 but has been renovated and is on two levels. The lower level has one double bedroom, living area, small kitchen area, bathroom and laundry, and parking for our two cars. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms including the master, a study, bathroom, lounge / TV room and large kitchen / family room. These last two rooms open out through 2 sets of double sliding doors to a gorgeous deck taking advantage of the fabulous views. The front garden is a small lawn with a pergola covered, hedged patio to enjoy summer sun. You would be required to mow the grass here once a week (mower provided). The gardens and lawn are reticulated as are the 2-3 pots in this area. The garden below spills down the hillside and has retaining walls and quite a lot of larger plants and trees (camellia, hydrangea). We chop this area back when it gets out of control about every 4-5 months, so we anticipate you won't need to do much in this area.
The house has high speed broadband with unlimited downloads. We do have a landline, though we tend to use our mobile s ourselves, and if you have mobile s it will be easy for us all. We are only about 3km from the CBD and local beaches are close, and there are many things to do in our city of about 57,000. We have a twin city 20km away, Hastings, which is slightly larger and there is also Havelock North, a smaller area now amalgamated with Hastings. A car is essential for groceries etc - there is no public transport on our part of the hill. We are happy to make available one of our cars if you don't have your own.
