Seeking a mature house-sitter(s) while retired owners snowbird . Prefer is a house-sitter that is a bit handy and able to use chain saw should one of our forest trees fall over our long driveway. Shall there be electrical outage the ablity to manuver a portable generator.
House is 950+ sq ft log cabin on 45 acres of forest land. Heat is wood stove with electric backup. There is good cable internet and service although TV cable/satellite service is not available due to rural location and large trees. (We receive a few channels using an old fashion antenna). Walk forest trail that are right outside the cabin front door.
House is open plan with 2 loft bedrooms. There is a separate 400 sq ft studio with kitchenette where house-sitter can be housed during any overlapping period of time when owners and the house-sitter might both be present.
We ask that the house_sitter cover own electric expenses. There is penty of fallen wood on land to replace firewood.
The home is located just 1 mile from the picturque village of Indianola, 1/4 mile from Heritage Park, 1.5 miles from the Indianol Beach and dock.The Ferry to North Seattle area ( Edmonds) is 5 minutes drive). The Bainbridge to Seattle ferry is a 25 minute drive.
We have no pets. If you have a dog or cat, you may bring it along.
