Our dogs: Wookie is a rescue and is mostly Corgie; Luke is a rescue and is a cocker spaniel; both are 9 years old and need lots of love and attention; Wookie needs to play catch with a ball 2 to 3 times a day (gently); Luke will play a little but like to go for a walk and mostly just needs lots of love; Luke has a cronic condition that will require giving medications by mouth.
We need someone that is willing to be in the house a good bit of the time. They are used to us being gone mid-morning for a couple of hours or so and then sometimes in the afternoons for 2 to 3 hours tops. However, we do have a maid that comes twice a week and is here for 4 hours and if you want to take a longer trip than 2 to 3 hours you could schedule the trip for when she is going to be here. That way you could be gone for 5 to 6 hours and they would only be alone for 1 or 2 hours before or after she leaves. We would ask that this is not the norm, however, as the dogs are nervous enough with us being gone without being left for long periods of time.
We live in a gated community of one story separated/individual condos. There is 24 hour security guard. Great neighbors. We have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, open kitchen/dining/living room plan. We have a view of Lake Chapala and the mountains from the living/dining room and the master bedroom. These rooms have glass doors across the whole back that open onto a terrace and large garden. There is an infinity pool, hot tub, club house, exercise room available. We also have high speed internet; a Vonage to the States; large flat screen tv with Shaw Direct satalite. There is bus service that stops right outside the condo's gate and taxi service as well.
There will be a maid and a gardner twice a week. However, we will ask you to take care of the watering of the garden and plants. There is a watering system that is operated manually.
The weather here is about the best you can find anywhere. We are known for warm days with cool breezes and cool nights.
Ajijic is one of the villages along Lake Chapala. You can Google Ajijic, Mexico and read all about our village. We believe it is a fantastic place to live and you should have a truly great time. Good variety of restaurants and good medical care should you need it.
