What am I looking for in a house sitter?
I am hoping to find a wonderful person or couple (non-smoking) who can take care of Her Majesty, as I have accepted a last-minute job in China for a month. I plan to leave for 4 weeks, but if you can only stay until the 18th of October, I have someone else to take over after that. If you are looking for a longer stint and can do until the 5th or 6th of November - great!
My cat is very independent and spends her whole day outside, leaving you free to do whatever you like.
What responsibilities will my house sitter have?
I have a 7 year old Thai cat (female) whose care is of the utmost importance to me. Rent and utilities are paid for, I just ask you to bring responsibility and a love of cats.
Features of property and location:
My house is in Nong Chom, San Sai, Chiang Mai; 12kms from the city centre in a quiet village; but easily accessible to the city centre. The house is small (like a worker's cottage) and a single storey, 1 bed with air, 1 bathroom, a living room, Wi-Fi and a fully functioning kitchen. The village has Thai restaurants, local Thai food takeaway shops, a fruit & veggie market, a 7-11, Tesco Lotus, hairdresser salon, laundromats and laundry shops.
Note - I do NOT have a TV or a washing machine, but there are laundromats nearby - both self-service, and full service.
What sitters need to expect/know:
Transport wise, you'll need to hire a scooter and there are many rental shops in town where you can rent for about 200 Baht per day, however, you'll need to possess an international driver's license. I have a bicycle for use around the village. There is also GrabTaxi (no Uber).
Most nationalities are visa exempt for a 30 day stay in Thailand.
