I am seeking a responsible nature loving person or couple who understand the interaction between domestic pets and wildlife, to care for my 14ha and treasured pets.
I have a range of animals; 3 dogs (old, mature and adolescent), all perfectly behaved and contained in a fenced yard, Prudence the free range pig, two donkeys (one 29 yrs old) and three head of cattle (all in retirement).
I have a rustic mudbrick house tucked away in the hills 25 mins north west of Lismore. Fifteen minutes to a general store, 1 hr Byron Bay and 30 mins to Nimbin. One bedroom will be available for use.
Duties would include feeding dogs & pig and generally being around to keep an eye on things.
The house has all mod cons and ADSL WiFi. No mobile phone coverage but the landline is reliable.
The driveway to the house is steep so a four wheel drive would be preferable although I drive my 2 wheel drive without problems. Not suitable for a caravan although one could be securely parked at a distance from the house.
I need a committed person and need to know that whomever is in charge will commit for the entire period of the sit, 6 weeks.
