We seek a responsible, mature individual or couple with a genuine love for cats who would enjoy spending a spring week in our comfortable and well-located Asheville home.
We are next to the University of North Carolina-Asheville (UNCA), just north of downtown Asheville, with its vibrant arts and music scene, amazing restaurants worthy of foodies' appreciation, quirky shops, and friendly folks. The famed Biltmore Estate is an easy 10- minute drive, and hiking opportunities abound in our surrounding Appalachian mountains.
Our house is a 2-story Arts and Crafts house with organic gardens, a small creek, a bamboo grove, and lovely woods. It is peaceful, comfortable, uncluttered, and colorful, with a gas fireplace in the dining room for cozy dinners, a wood stove in the living room, and an enormous wrap-around porch.
We are adjacent to the Asheville Botanical Gardens (lovely walking trails!) and the wildly popular and social Saturday morning North Asheville Tailgate Market, which runs from April through December.
We have three friendly, independent housecats who are accustomed to a constant, loving human presence in their day-to-day lives. A fourth cat is a feral fellow who is happy to accept our food and a cozy nest in our crawlspace, but not quite ready to allow us within 10 feet of him.
Caring for our cats is easy. They do their business outdoors via a cat flap, so there's no litterbox to clean. They are not picky eaters. They all love to cuddle and sleep with their carers. All we ask is that you give them loving attention and enjoy their company. We are looking for nonsmoking folks who are well past the partying stage and will commit to spending every night here.
We also ask that you bring in the mail, water our gardens if it hasn't rained in a few days, keep the house tidy, treat our belongings with respect... grown-up stuff.
Note: We do not have cable TV. Instead, we have a Smart TV and Roku (for Netflix, Hulu, etc.) as well as lightning-fast WiFi for streaming video.
