Hi there
We are looking for a house/dog sitter for one week over New year's, while we are away on holidays: from Dec 27nd to Jan 4th.
We live in a nice, comfy ground-floor 2-bedroom flat in greater London (Zone 2), 20 minutes by underground away from Oxford Circus/ Central London. We have all mod-cons, including WIFI access.
We also have a lovely big girl dog as you can see in the profile pictures. She's a Dogue de Bordeaux -big in size and big by heart; incredibly social, she loves people and cuddles. Her dogwalkers adore her and she has a friendly if energetic temper. We have left her with housesitters in the past as we prefer not to disrupt her habits too much while away.
Our housesitter will only need to keep her company, feed her twice a day and take her for a walk once a day in the nearby park (3 blocks from home). She cannot be left alone overnight, or for over 6 hours during the day, but there is plenty of time for sightseeing during the day :) Chabon is a big girl so you will need to be comfortable around big sloppy dogs and be gentle but firm in commands.
As per the house itself, our sitter will only need to vacuum once or twice as Chabon sheds some hair, and water our plants. That's it! We live in a small flat with a garden/patio in north west London. The area is really colorful as there are Polish, Brazilian and West African communities, so hopefully you'll comfortable in a multicultural, typical London environment.
Ideally we would like someone who is already in London before our departure, so you can get to know us and Chabon before we go, but we are flexible on this as per our sitter's travel plans.
