Hi there. This is the first time I have posted anything like this, so please excuse me if I leave out any important information. Please me if you have any questions.
We live in a community in North Los Angeles called "Sunland". We are north of Burbank and Glendale and west of Pasadena. This area is known as "horse country". We are about a minute drive to either Burbank or Glendale. About minutes to downtown L.A. and, with no traffic, about minutes from the beach. We are about a minute drive to the mountains. It's lovely up here. Our home is on a very quiet rural street, yet only about a one-minute drive to the freeway. Very convenient.
We are going out of town for 11 days (Dec 25 - Jan 5) to visit family and need someone to take care of our silky terrier and our (very independent) kitty. Plus, we just want someone to be home to keep an eye on things even though our neighborhood is very safe.
Our home is a three-bedroom, two bath, 1200 square foot home. Very charming. It's a Craftsman-ish style. We have a couple of vegetable gardens in front and back (but we are at season's end right now). House is very cheery. We have a swimming pool, but it is too cold for use right now. Fireplace. Lots of books.
Doggie is a little old and a little grumpy, but is very easy to take care of and doesn't run away or anything. Our cat goes in and out of the house all day. He's an angel and has never once bitten or scratched anyone.
I realize that Christmas day is a terrible day to ask someone to begin house-sitting, so if it is a problem, I could have one of my neighbors take care of the animals for one or two days.
Since this is my first time posting something like this, please tell me if I'm missing any important information or anything. Cheers!
