I am looking for a housesitter to stay in my home starting on July 17 until my return on July I have three friendly indoor cats, so your major housesitting responsibilities will include feeding them and scooping their litter box. Other minor responsibilities will include watering houseplants, putting trash and recycling out for collection, and collecting mail. Please note that I am looking for a non- smoker for this housesitting assignment.
My home is a two-bedroom apartment in a three- unit old farmhouse. One bedroom has a queen- sized bed; the other bedroom is used as an office and craft space. The unit includes a large kitchen, living room, spacious porch, and one bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. The housesitter will have access to basic cable, Blu- Ray/DVD player, wireless internet, and washer/dryer in the apartment. In case of any maintenance issues, landlords live on the premises.
My home is located in Rochester, New Hampshire...approximately 30 minutes from Portsmouth, 40 minutes from the ocean and beaches, and 60 minutes from the New Hampshire lakes region. The location makes for easy daytrips to Mount Washington and the North Conway outlets, the Kancamagus highway, Franconia Notch State Park and the Old Man of the Mountain, Boston (Massachusetts), and Portland (Maine).
A bit of truth in advertising...my apartment is beautiful and I think most people would love to spend a week or so here. However, I must warn that this is a three-floor apartment and the stairs to the basement and the upstairs are quite steep. Also, the clawfoot tub requires some effort to step into and out of the tub. If you have any issues with mobility, you might want to consider whether this would be an appropriate housesitting assignment for you. Second, the apartment is not equipped with a landline. Therefore, you are advised to bring your own cell phone for making phone calls. And finally, the apartment is not equipped with air conditioning. The housesitting assignment is for the middle of summer, so please consider your own comfort before applying for this assignment!
