This is primarily a pet sit request to care for our dog, Moses, while we're on vacation. The ideal person will either have their own small dog or lots of experience walking and caring for small dogs in a big city. Moses is a 16-lb Yorkie/Shitsu combo. He's a born and bred New Yorker with a Laguna Beach temperament. He loves to dine al fresco and go for long, athletic walks. If you're into exploring the city on foot, this could be a great fit. We live in Manhattan between the South Street Seaport and Brooklyn Bridge, so we're very close to 8 different subway lines and lots of attractions. Our duplex apartment is cozy (read smallish and needs a little updating) and located in a unique historic neighborhood that provides a view of NY unlike any other. We're looking for someone who will treat our boy with respect, tune in to his needs, be enthusiastic about walking him at least three times a day (or walking to Battery Park and sitting to read a book for awhile and having lunch on the way home :) know how to do a little dog whispering if he gets cranky with another male dog (he's not neutered), be alert while walking him on busy streets and sidewalks, and think of little things like carrying water for him on hot days. If this is your idea of a good time, send a message our way!
