My wife and I own a house about 3.5 km from central Hobart. It is about 100 metres above sea level and has views over the city and across the harbour. It is a modest brick house in a quiet area near a primary school. It is about 200 metres from a large reserve of natural bush. This is a designated dog walking area The house has an idle and friendly cat which specializes in sleeping and lap sitting. We also own a very amiable, obedient, mature dog of high intelligence which loves chasing balls and walking with people. Both animals sleep in the house and enter and leave by a “dog door”. The cat sleeps on chairs, etc. The dog sleeps on a doona in a corner a long way from the bedrooms.
We have an extensive garden, but little if any attention would be required whilst we are away. Our house is in a quiet area with a bus stop about 100 metres away.
All the neighbours are friendly.
We would like a mature house sitter(s) who is/are available from 3 May to 4 July 2009.
My daughter lives a few blocks away and can help out if any difficulty should arise with the house.
