We're seeking a reliable single person to live in our 2-story Philadelphia rowhome.
Our home is located on a quiet, friendly block, which is walking distance from the Philadelphia Art Museum, restaurants, and grocery shopping. It is also within walking distance to downtown, and is around the corner from 3 major bus routes.
We'd like someone who will:
Daily
Check for litter on front yard. Water plants: holly tree on front sidewalk and the garden out back. When you leave, be sure the front and back doors and all windows are locked/secure. Check car for parking tickets, broken windows. Set aside mail for weekly forwarding. Cat: keep dry food bowl full, one small serving wet food. Check water supply (2 canisters in bathroom) Scoop litter pan.
Weekly
Sweep front steps and sidewalk, and garden out back. Thursday evening after 6-7p, trash out through the alley (not the house) for Friday am pickup. Clean bathroom and kitchen well, vacuum all rooms, light dusting of all rooms. Move the car. Forward all our mail with stamps and envelopes provided.
Every other week
Friday: paper/glass/aluminum recycling goes out with other trash
Other
Snow removal: Shovel front sidewalk after it snows, shovel is in basement.
Security: We don't have a system, so we always keep the doors and windows locked when we leave. During summer, we leave upstairs windows open, you can do the same, if you'll be home the same day. If you are gone several days, be sure the entire house is locked up and thermostat is set to cat- friendly temp.
Car: Use minimally, for small trips like grocery shopping. For any car problems, call (will provide info.)
Cat: Is not allowed outside. Is not allowed in the basement. Throws up about every other week, be on the look out. He usually does it where you can find it. If you will be gone more than one night, ask neighbor (names and numbers will be provided) to check his water and food and scoop litter.
