We are going out of town for 6 days and unfortunately we can't take our dog Maggie with us. She is a 3-year-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix. We're looking for someone to stay with her at our house in Portland, feed her once a day and take her on one walk a day. She has access to the yard via a doggie door, so she's pretty low-maintenance. You can feel free to spend large parts of the days or nights away from the house, as long as she gets a good dose of attention at some point during each day. We also have an indoor/outdoor cat, Jelly, who's extremely low-maintenance -- just make sure there's food and water in his bowl and other than that, he takes care of himself. Our house is a 1928 craftsman with a private yard located in North Portland not far from downtown and several restaurant districts. We're on three major bus lines and near the lightrail. The dates we'll be away are Thursday August 8 through Tuesday August 11. If your trip needs to overlap ours a bit, we can talk about an arrangement that will work.
